beetread is operated by okkosa. For any privacy request, contact privacy@okkosa.com.
What we collect
- From the signup form: your name and email address.
- Automatically when you sign up: an approximate country (derived from your IP address), your browser's user-agent string, and a timestamp.
- In your browser only: your reading progress, reading speed, and display preferences. These are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Send you communications about beetread, including beta access, launch news, and product updates.
- Tell you about other products and services from okkosa and its affiliates.
- Analyze behavior and build audience segments to tailor our communications and marketing.
- Share hashed contact information with advertising platforms (such as Google and Meta) to build custom and lookalike audiences for marketing.
Cookies and tracking
We use first-party cookies and local storage to remember your reading state. We also use third-party analytics and advertising cookies and pixels — including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel — to measure usage and support marketing. These technologies may set cookies and collect identifiers across sites.
How long we keep it
We retain signup information indefinitely until you ask us to delete it.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, and correct the personal information we hold, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" (which, under California law, includes our use of advertising-platform audiences). Children
beetread is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
